My Sex is an unreleased song initially likely recorded somewhere in Spring 1983, likely at the Kiowa Trail Home Studio in Chanhassen, Minnesota, around the same time as Moral Majority. The track was recorded with Vanity and Jill Jones but it is not known if it was seriously considered for possible use on Vanity 6’ sophomore album.
Its initial title was likely May I Introduce My Sex To Yours?. The track was discussed by Jill Jones in an interview in 2021: "We had another song called May I Introduce My Sex To Yours?, but nobody seems to know where this song is with all this stuff. It had a lot of breathings on it, which was like "huh huh!". It was a really cool freaking song and he didn’t want that to come out at all. Ever! I thought there must be a bad memory associated with that or whatever that is about. I’ve asked often about, even with the Estate and they don’t know which one I’m talking about. It could have been around Moral Majority." Musically, it was described as a combination of Devo and Vanity 6.
The song was worked on by Wendy & Lisa in June 1985. In early August 1985, Jill Jones recorded a lead vocal on it (with David Z. supervizing) at Electric Lady Studios, New York, NY, USA, for possible inclusion on her Jill Jones album. At one point was considered to be the title track, as Jill Jones thought it encompassed the album’s theme, but the song was ultimately not included. According to Jones: "It was going to be on my record, but he didn’t want to release it. The lyrics said, ‘I don’t want to know your name, all I want to do is introduce my sex to yours... ’ or something like that. I actually think I told him he should do it. But then, after a while, he started thinking that that kind of stuff was beneath him."
