Miss Thang is the fourth track (second song) on T.C. Ellis's first and only album True Confessions (which also included Miss Thang (Vasquez Ice Mix) as its 16th and final track), and around the time of the album's release, Miss Thang was released as the album's first single. The track was written, produced, and largely performed by Prince.
While specific recording dates are not known, basic tracking took place in late Summer, 1989 at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota. It is not known if Prince recorded his own version, or if T.C. Ellis' vocals are all that exist for this track. Like Round And Round on Graffiti Bridge, the album and single versions of Miss Thang are remixes made by Junior Vasquez. The original version (prior to the remix) of the song remains unreleased.
