- 2016 – On his flight home from Atlanta, GA, Prince’s plane makes an unscheduled stop at Quad Cities International Airport in Moline, IL and Prince is rushed to a nearby hospital with what was at the time reported as dehydration symptoms after being ill with the flu, but was in fact likely a bad reaction to pain-medication, during which Prince lost consciousness. He returned to Minneapolis a few hours later. Six days later he died of an accidental overdose of the pain medication Fentanyl.
