Ruthie Washington Jet Blues is an unreleased track recorded in early September, 1987, at Paisley Park Studios, Chanhassen, MN, USA. Eric Leeds and Atlanta Bliss recorded horn overdubs to the track on 15 September, 1987, also at Paisley Park Studios. The song was written specifically for the Graffiti Bridge movie, and was mentioned in the initial script, dated 22 September, 1987. "Ruthie Washington" was the name of the movie's love interest at this point, who Prince hoped would be played by Madonna. In the script, the song was described as mostly instrumental, ending in characters doing the "Detroit Crawl" dance (mentioned in It's Gonna Be A Beautiful Night). The song remains unreleased.
