Te Amo Corazón is the third track on Prince's 31st studio album 3121, and, three months before the album's release, Te Amo Corazón was released as the album's first single (without a corresponding album mentioned, however). A live version (in a medley with Fury) was included on the UK edition of the Fury single (in both audio and video formats), featuring former Revolution members Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman.

Exact recording dates for the studio version are unknown, but it was likely recorded at some point in 2005 in either Paisley Park Studios, Chanhassen, MN, USA, or 3121 (Mulholland), West Hollywood, CA, USA, with orchestra recordings by Clare Fischer recorded in Los Angeles, CA, USA. The track was included as the fourth track on a late 2005 configuration of 3121, before Streets Of Panama was removed from the album before its release. Of note is that this is the earliest released studio track to feature Josh Dunham on bass guitar and Cora Coleman-Dunham on drums (although both appeared on a live version of Satisfied released earlier in 2005).
