Velvet Kitty Cat is an unreleased track recorded on 19 April 1983 at Sunset Sound, Hollywood, CA, USA (two days after Chocolate, the day after Prince fired Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis from The Time, the day before recording My Love Belongs To You).

The track was long thought of to be recorded for possible use on The Time's third album Ice Cream Castle, but the song was not included on the release. It was however considered for Vanity 6 and later the Apollonia 6 album.

It is possible that this track is an update of Mink Kitty Cat, but this is uncertain.
