Wherever U Go, Whatever U Do is the 16th track (14th song) on Prince’s 23rd album Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic (his sixth using the name ). It is the last credited track on the album, containing 5:35 of silence following the end of the song (leading into an uncredited segue). The same version, without the silence, was included as the 13th track on the 2001 companion album Rave In2 The Joy Fantastic (Prettyman followed it as the uncredited final track, however).

While specific recording dates are not known, basic tracking likely took place in early 1999 at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota.
