Corporate World (sometimes known as Corporate World (New Soul Nation)) is an unreleased song by The Time. The track was written and mostly performed by Ricky 'Freeze' Smith, while he was working on songs for The Day-Z’s, a girl group produced by with Morris Day. Corporate World was initially recorded in 1989 at Ameraycan Studio, Los Angeles, California, USA and overdubbed by Prince and Morris Day in Summer 1989 at Paisley Park Studios, Chanhassen, Minnesota, USA. In a 2024 interview, Ricky 'Freeze' Smith discussed the song’s recording:
"Morris and I were writing for a group he had called The Day-Z’s, that was signed to Warner Brothers. We’re recording songs and Prince came to the studio. Morris let him hear two of the tracks and next thing I knew he took the 24-track and took it to Minneapolis and not knowing what he was going to do with it. (...) I thought he was going to take all my keyboards off and put his flavor on it but he didn’t touch it. He left it the way that it iss and just played guitar and put vocals on it; that was a really big compliment to me. (...) It’s a great song. Then we have another song that I'm sure he may have put vocals on but I haven't heard what he did with the song". The second song has not been identified.

Corporate World contains a sample from Don’t Call Me Nigger, Whitey (written by Sly Stone, performed by Sly and the Family Stone, from their 1969 album Stand!). It was included as the seventh track on an early September 1989 configuration of the Corporate World album, but it was removed when the album was re-worked to become Pandemonium. Corporate World remains unreleased.
