Girls & Boys is a Prince and the Revolution video released for broadcast and to promote the single. The video is made up of material that was shot for Under The Cherry Moon and used in the first minute of the video. It is interspersed with shots of the (expanded) Revolution who enter the party and start performing the song with Prince. Scenes that were used in the movie Under The Cherry Moon were filmed on the last two days of shooting at Les Salons De La Rotonde in Beaulieu-sur-Mer in the south of France. The outside of Les Salons De La Rotonde can be seen as the facade of the 'Le Pavillon" restaurant' in the film. All shots with members of expanded Revolution (who were not featured as characters in the movie) were filmed on 22 November 1985. The shooting was following the wrap-party of Under The Cherry Moon at Le Grand Escurial in Nice, the day before. Susannah Melvoin and members of the expanded Revolution, including Eric Leeds, Miko Weaver as well as Wally Safford and Greg Brooks (together with Under The Cherry Moon co-star Jerome Benton known as 'the brothers') were flown in for the shooting of this black and white performance video. This is one of the rare videos released by Prince shot outside of the United States, the others being: America, Mountains, U Got The Look (also in France), The Continental (Japan), Chelsea Rodgers and The NPG’s Come On (UK), Te Amo Corazón (Morroco) and Somewhere Here On Earth (Czech Republic).
