Insatiable was the third single to be released from Prince's 13th album Diamonds And Pearls, the first album to be credited to Prince and the New Power Generation. The single was released on the same day as the maxi-single for the previous single Cream. The b-side, I Love U In Me, had been previously-released on the The Arms Of Orion single two years earlier. Strangely, the commercial release was limited to vinyl and cassette, with no CD release (although a promo CD was available).
