An instrumental version was first heard played live on 17 March, 2013 (am) at La Zona Rosa, Austin, TX, USA, during the SXSW show Prince performed for Samsung. A full version with lyrics was first performed live on 13 July, 2013 Auditorium Stravinski, Montreux, Switzerland.
An instrumental excerpt of the song was posted on NPG Twitter Account on 2 October, 2013.
It is assumed that a studio version was recorded in Spring 2013, although this has not been confirmed.
