Girls & Boys is the twenty-third Prince video to have been released for broadcast. Scenes that were filmed for use in the film were shot on the last days of filming of Under The Cherry Moon at Les Salons De La Rotonde in Beaulieu-sur-Mer in the south of France. The outside of Les Salons De La Rotondec an be seen as the facade of the 'Le Papillon" restaurant' in the film. All shots with members of expanded Revolution (who were not featured as characters in the movie) were filmed on 22 November 1985, following the wrap-party of the film at Studio de la Victorine, Nice, France. Susannah Melvoin and members of the expanded Revolution, including Eric Leeds, Atlanta Bliss, Miko Weaver as well as Wally Safford and Greg Brooks (together with Under The Cherry Moon co-star Jerome Benton known as 'the brothers') were flown in for the shooting of this black and white performance video.
