In 1993, an alternate recording (taken from the recording of the song's video) was included as the 19th track (the first of two previously-unreleased tracks) on The B-Sides compilation (included as the third and final disc on The Hits / The B-Sides).

The video version was recorded in April 1985 (exact date unknown) at SIR Los Angeles, Hollywood, California, and premiered on 13 July 1985 during the world-wide Live Aid event.

The song Hello alludes to the recording of this song in lieu of participating in the all-star recording of the song We Are The World, stating:
