Sheila E. added vocals to the track on 15 December 1987, also at Paisley Park Studios (the day after the initial version of Lovesexy was recorded, and the day before Dance On). It was included as the fifth track on a 1989 configuration of the album, but the album was abandoned when Sheila E. left Prince's band and Paisley Park Records in early 1989.
