Fixurlifeup was the first single by Prince's band 3rdEyeGirl, released on NPG Records, and was the first single to be released from their album Plectrumelectrum (announced for release in late 2013 on Kobalt Music but released in September 2014). The single was originally credited to "3rdEyeGirl (feat. Prince)". Soon after its release, however, the digital single's artwork and listings changed to reflect the artist credit as "Prince and 3rdEyeGirl"; it is listed here using this credit. It was released digitally on iTunes worldwide on 16 May 2013. The digital single includes only a 3:08 version of the track Fixurlifeup, which features Prince on lead vocals and guitar, and as the track's co-writer and producer. The single was originally mentioned by blogger Dr. Funkenberry as due for release on 15 April 2013, but the single was delayed for unknown reasons until a break in the Live Out Loud Tour.
