Wild And Loose is the first track on The Time's second album What Time Is It? The song was written by Prince and Dez Dickerson, although the song is officially credited to The Time. It was produced by Prince (as The Starr Company), but was credited to Morris Day and The Starr Company.

Basic tracking took place on 19 January 1982 at Sunset Sound in Hollywood, California (four days after Colleen, and the day before Turn It Up). As with much of the What Time Is It? album, the recording features only Prince and Morris Day.
