Forever In My Life is the ninth and final track on the first disc of Prince’s ninth album Sign O’ The Times. An early vocal run-through of the track, with different instrumentation, was released as the ninth track of Vault Tracks part 2, one of the discs with previously unreleased tracks included with the Sign O’ The Times Super Deluxe Edition in 2020, and was released to streaming and downloading platforms four weeks prior to the set’s release. After recording, Prince took a break before coming back to re-record the vocals, when he also replaced instrumentation to create the final album version.
