A.C. is the third and final solo album by André Cymone (who had left Prince’s band in 1981), and was released on 16 August 1985.

The album included one song written and produced by Prince, titled The Dance Electric, which was Prince’s first and only contribution to André Cymone’s solo studio recordings.

Prince reportedly gave the song to André Cymone after Cymone’s mother asked Prince for a song (Cymone himself was too proud to do so). The rest of the album was written and produced by André Cymone.

An expanded CD re-release of the album was released by Big Break Records in the UK in 2011, marking the album’s first CD release, and containing additional tracks, including the versions of The Dance Electric previously only included on the single release of The Dance Electric.
