Mo' Better is the tenth track on Mayte’s first and only album Child Of The Sun. The song was written by Prince (as ), Andrew Hopkins and E.M. Hunter, and produced by Kirk Johnson. It is the only song on the album not to feature Prince as a musician. While specific recording dates are not known, basic tracking took place in 1993 or 1994, at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota. It was included, in a more raw form than released, as the tenth track on a 5 May 1995 configuration of Child Of The Sun, where it remained for release, although it was worked on further in Summer 1995 before release. It is not known if the track was included on Mayte’s album Scorpio, which included some tracks from Child Of The Sun.
