Da Bang is the second track on the second disc of Prince’s 20th album Crystal Ball (his fourth using the name ).
Specific recording dates are not known, but the track is believed to have been recorded in the first half of 1995. The Crystal Ball liner notes state that the track was recorded and mixed in one day in Los Angeles, but no other studio details are known. The track was slated to be included on a Playtime By Versace project in mid-1995 which remained unreleased. It is not known to have been considered for any other projects prior to its inclusion on Crystal Ball.
