U Want Me was released in a 2002 live medley with Strollin’ as the sixth track on the Live At The Aladdin Las Vegas DVD. No audio version of the track has been released. A studio version of the track is assumed to exist. Basic tracking is likely to have taken place in early Summer, 2002 (it was premiered live at the Xenophobia Celebration on 23 June 2002 (a.m.): Paisley Park Studios, Chanhassen, MN, USA). The track is a gentle jazz track with upbeat romantic lyrics (which were shown in the Vs Room in the NPG Music Club in 2003). In its live rendition it bears a striking similarity with the 1935 jazz song Lullaby of Broadway. The song was billed on the Live At The Aladdin Las Vegas as being previously-unreleased, which is true, although it was not released as a complete track, but only as part of a medley with Strollin’.
