2Y2D (short for 2 Young 2 Dare) is an unreleased song recorded in early-to-mid 2011, most likely at Paisley Park Studios, Chanhassen, MN, USA. While the original version was a horn-driven funk version, Prince and 3rdEyeGirl re-recorded the track in early 2013. This version was later described by Prince as "slinky rock".
The original studio version of the track was played by DJ Rashida prior to Prince's DJ set on 19 January, 2013, Dakota Jazz Club & Restaurant, Minneapolis, MN, USA (along with The Breakdown).
In December, 2015, Prince announced on Twitter that 2Y2D was included on the planned album Hitnrun Phase Two, although no release information for the album has been given. It is unclear at this point which version of the song is planned for inclusion, although the other tracks currently announced for inclusion do not feature 3rdEyeGirl and are more horn-driven, so it is likely that the 2011 version is the one used on the album.
