The Crown Jewels is the seventh promotional compilation album by Prince, available in early-to-mid 1992 (between the commercial releases Diamonds And Pearls and SymbolSmallerBlue.png, to promote the Diamonds And Pearls Tour.

It was the first promotional compilation to be available on CD, and comprises of recordings from nine studio albums, released originally between 1982 and 1991. The tracks are presented in rough chronological order based on their release as singles, although this is not followed strictly.

The compilation is notable for featuring a previously-unavailable edit of Partyman which misses Jack Nicholson’s intro sampled from the Batman movie (presumably for copyright reasons, although Kim Basinger’s sampled line of "Ooh, I love purple" from the movie is still included). This edit was released the following year on the UK Peach single.
