Come Back 2 Me is an unreleased track recorded with Sheena Easton on 29 September 1988, at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota (during two days off from the Lovesexy Tour, four days after recording overdubs on Billie Holiday and The Rock That Keeps Rolling and compiling an early configuration of the Graffiti Bridge album).

While working on the track, engineer Chuck Zwicky introduced Prince to a recording technique he would later use on Batdance and many other songs. Zwicky showed Prince how to use the Publison sampler to trigger an instrument sample from a bass drum. Prince was very excited about this new tool, and used it regularly to trigger samples and loops in tracks recorded later in 1988 and 1989. The song has been described as being in the vein of The Dance Electric and the later recorded Shall We Dance.
