Do Your Dance (KC's Remix) is the sixth track on the maxi-single of Cream, the second single from Prince's 13th album Diamonds And Pearls (the first album to be credited to Prince and the New Power Generation). While loosely based on the song Cream, including using a re-recording of the chorus, this can be considered a song in its own right.
Specific recording dates are unknown, but it is likely that recording took place in September-October 1991 (along with Cream (N.P.G. Mix), Things Have Gotta Change (Tony M. Rap), 2 The Wire (Creamy Instrumental), Get Some Solo, Housebangers, Q In Doubt and Ethereal Mix). The track was mixed and co-produced by Keith "KC" Cohen, but the title is misleading, since the track features significant new input by Prince and the New Power Generation, including a new vocal by Jevetta Steele.
