It was written by Ingrid Chavez and Michael Koppelman and produced by Michael Koppelman, and had no input by Prince. Five and a half months after the album’s release, however, Hippy Blood was released as the album’s second and final commercial single, and two remixes included on the single were remixed by Prince (as Paisley Park). An edit of one of the mixes was also released. Only the versions remixed by him are included here.

Although specific remix dates are unknown, Ingrid Chavez and Michael Koppelman recorded the track in March 1991, at Larrabee Sound Studios in North Hollywood, California. It is likely that Prince remixed the track in late 1991 at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnsota, when the track was chosen as a single, although this is unconfirmed. |recording info = |- align="left" |style="border-top:1px dotted #ccc;"|March 1991 |style="border-top:1px dotted #ccc;"|Larrabee Sound Studios,
