However Much U Want is the ninth track on Mayte’s first and only album Child Of The Sun. The song was written and produced by Prince (as  ) (although no production credit is given), and is credited on the packaging and the CD as a "duet with ".
While specific recording dates are not known, basic tracking took place in December 1991, at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota as Mayte’s first recording with Prince, and was briefly considered for inclusion on . It was included, in a more raw form than released, as the fourth track on a 1994 configuration of Latino Barbie Doll, which later evolved into Child Of The Sun. A shorter version was included as the second track on a 1994 configuration of the single If  Love U 2night (sold exclusively in the New Power Generation Store). It was included, in a slightly different mix than released, as the ninth track on a 5 May 1995 configuration of Child Of The Sun, where it remained for release, although it was worked on further in Summer 1995 (reversing the song’s spoken intro). It is not known if the track was included on Mayte’s album Scorpio, which included some tracks from Child Of The Sun.
