High Fashion was the second and final single to be released from The Family’s first and only album The Family, released three months and a half after the album, marking the final release of any kind by the band. It was released in North America only. The single contained an edit of High Fashion. The b-side, Susannah’s Pajamas, was also taken from the album The Family.
A 12" single release was also planned, which would have included an extended version of High Fashion unavailable elsewhere, but the 12" was canceled when promotion for the album ended.
The single did not enter the US Billboard Pop Chart, but reached number 34 on the Billboard Black Singles Chart.
The group was already disbanded when the single was released.
