Slow Groove In G Major is an unreleased instrumental recorded on 5-6 January 1986, during the seven-and-a-half- hour so-called ‘Everybody’s Jam’ session at Sunset Sound in Hollywood, California. The jam also produced Groove In C Minor, Groove In G♭Minor, Junk Music, Y'All Want Some More? and Up From Below, , while a half an hour long jam on For Love, in two parts Groove On ‘4 Love’ In B♭ & Groove On ‘4 Love’ In Gm♭, was also part of the ‘Everybody’s Jam’.
Wendy Melvoin and Levi Seacer, Jr. both played bass on this song, while Prince played guitar. It is unknown if this track was intended at the time for The Flesh album or any other project.
