Tamborine is the fifth track on Prince's seventh album Around The World In A Day, the second album to be credited to Prince and the Revolution.

While specific recording dates are not known, initial tracking took place during Summer/Autumn, 1984 at Flying Cloud Drive Warehouse, Eden Prairie, MN, USA. Its first live performance by Prince took place over 17 years after the song's initial release, on 6 October 2002 (a.m.).
