The Drama is the 14th and final track (13th song) on Chaka Khan’s tenth solo studio album Come 2 My House. The song was written and produced by Kirk Johnson, but features Prince (as  ) singing background vocals, and possibly also playing some instruments, although this is unverified.
While specific recording dates are not known, basic tracking took place between November 1997, and January 1998, at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota. It was included as the ninth track on a February 1998 configuration of Come 2 My House, before the tracklist was revised for the final release.
