The Ghetto is an unreleased cover version of the track by Donny Hathaway (released initially as a single and later included on Everything Is Everything, 1970), recorded in late 1987 or early 1988, most likely at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota. The song was included as the eighth track on a 1989 configuration ofSheila E.’s planned fourth album on Paisley Park Records, which was ultimately abandoned, and the track remains unreleased.
