The Walk is the second video by The Time released for broadcast and to promote the single. The video was shot during the final week of rehearsals for the 1983 leg of the Triple Threat Tour at the Civic Center, Lakeland, Florida. The videos for Prince’s Little Red Corvette and Vanity 6’s Drive Me Wild were also shot on the same day.
The video is a performance of the song by The Time similar to the ones they did on American TV-shows. The backdrop is the one used for their set on the Triple Threat Tour.
For unknown reasons, The Walk is the only single from the What Time Is It? album for which a music video was shot.
On 2 October 2021, The Walk was uploaded on Rhino’s official Youtube channel.
