On 20 December 2018, two-and-a-half years after Prince’s passing, Judith Hill released the video for the song Back In Time with the following message : "This video was scheduled to be released in April 2016, but due to Prince’s passing, I decided to cancel its release. As time has passed, I am now ready to share this with everyone. He was very excited about this video coming out. It’s time I let it have its place in the world. With all the love in my heart. Thank you Prince." Ravi Dhar added that "the video was commissioned by Prince and was to come out on his label NPG Records the week of his passing."
