North is a Prince video streamed on the NPG Music Club to promote the release of the N.E.W.S. album.

The video starts with a minute-long shot of the planet earth followed by still or animated pictures of different landscapes or natural elements associated with words :

  • An orange sky - 'Depth' and 'Fire'
  • A sunrise over rocks - 'Faith'
  • A bridge crossing clouds - 'Physical' and 'Molecules'
  • Snowy Mountains - 'Love'
  • A jungle - 'Mental' and 'Water'
  • Grass - 'Charity' and 'Time'
  • A flower - 'Time'
  • A desert - 'Peace'
  • A blue sky with clouds - 'Spiritual'
  • Hills and water under a blue sky - 'Air' and 'Width'
  • A fir forest - 'Height'

Shadows of Prince and The NPG (probably footage from the Live At The Aladdin Las Vegas home video) appear when Prince's guitar part begins. Oddly, the word 'DEMO' is written in watermark on the whole video which also contains the full credits of the N.E.W.S. album and ends with 'Thank U 4 watching'.

With a duration of 14 minutes, North is the longest video released by Prince for a song.
