Waiting Room is the twelfth track on rock/pop and ska group No Doubt's fifth album Rock Steady. is listed as co-writer and co-producer on the song, and he also appears on keyboards and background vocals.
While specific recording dates are unknown, No Doubt sent their original version of the track for him to work on in return for lead singer Gwen Stefani's contribution to 's So Far, So Pleased, and he heavily revised the track (resulting in his writing co-credit) before returning it to them in 1999. The track was considered for their 2000 album Return Of Saturn, but it was of such a different sound to the rest of the album that they held it back to use on their following album, Rock Steady.
