Tamborine is the fifth track on Prince’s seventh album Around The World In A Day, the second album to be credited to Prince and the Revolution.

Basic tracking for this track took place on 27 September 1984 at Flying Cloud Drive Warehouse in Eden Prairie, MN, USA (on the same day that Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman were working on additional recording for Wonderful Ass and Our Destiny at Sunset Sound in Los Angeles, CA, USA).

The first live performance of the track by Prince took place over 17 years after the song’s initial release, on 6 October 2002 (a.m.).
