  • The title of this song is also the title of the 1956 Roger Vadim film And God Created Woman (original French title Et Dieu... créa la femme), which launched the career of Vadim's then-wife Brigitte Bardot. Vadim is also the director of the film Barbarella (1968), from which Prince took great inspiration. He sampled from it in Space, mentions it in a segue on the album and used clips from it in the Gett Off home video. Last but not least keyboard player Tommy Barbarella (né Elm) is believed to be named after the film.
