Wanna Melt With U is a Prince and the New Power Generation video released for broadcast and included on the 3 Chains O’ Gold home video. Shooting took place at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen and at the Glam Slam, Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Glam Slam section was filmed on 3 October 1992. Two versions of the video were created. The first one was aired in 1992 on Playboy Channel and is overtly explicit with female nudity. In this version, Prince can be seen rollerskating (wearing only a boxer, long socks and a dressing gown) in a large room dancing and seducing a girl. The scenes shot at the Glam Slam shows many females dancing naked and suggestively. The second version is a different and censored edit of that video adapted to fit in the storyline of the 3 Chains O’ Gold home video. In this version, Mayte is having a nightmare that Prince has stolen the chains and is surrounded by strippers. Scenes where Prince was rollerskating are replaced by other footage including some in which he wears the mask similar to The Phantom Of The Opera. Contrary to most of the songs from the album, Wanna Melt With U was not included in the Act I TV-special, but the track was played live for The Ryde Dyvine (with the same distinctive mask).
