The Sweeter She Is is a cover version of the track The Sweeter He Is, originally performed by The Soul Children (released as "Part I" and "Part II" on their 1968 debut album Soul Children, also released as a single in 1969). Prince released a rehearsal version of the track in 2013 through the 3rdEyeGirl Twitter account. The account asked who would be interested in receiving a new track; in response to several replies, an mp3 of the track was sent to Twitter user @VanessaMpls3121, and she posted the download link on her account. The 3rdEyeGirl Twitter account posted the same download link a few hours later. At the time of the track’s release, Prince had not performed the track live and is not believed to have recorded a studio version. It was debuted a few days after its release at the 19 October 2013 (a.m.) Breakfast Can Wait- Pajama Dance Party at Paisley Park Studios. On 7 January 2014, a live video of The Sweeter She Is from 29 December 2013 Mohegan Sun Arena, Uncasville, CT, USA was put on 3rdEyeGirl YouTube account.
