In order to make the chart information the clearest possible, below you will find a guide how to use / cite chart information from PrinceVault.

USA
Billboard Pop Charts
SINGLES CHARTS
- The Billboard Hot 100 Chart was introduced by Billboard on August 4, 1958.
- The following occurrences have to be abandoned:
- Pop Single charts
- Hot 100 Singles Charts.
- The chart has 100 positions. Every position under 100 must be referenced under the Bubbling Under The Hot 100. See below.
- The Billboard's Bubbling Under The Hot 100 Chart was introduced on 6 January, 1959. The number of positions have varied all through the past decades. Here's a summary of the ones being referred to in PrinceVault:
- Bubbling Under The Hot 100 / 13 Jul. 1974 to 24 Aug. 1985 / 10 Positions.
- No charts were published between 31 Aug. 1985 to 28 Nov. 1992
- Bubbling Under The Hot 100 Singles / 5 Dec. 1992 to present time / 25 Positions.
- The Billboard Hot 100 Airplay was introduced as a 30 positions chart on 20 October, 1984.
- In PrinceVault a position in the Hot 100 Airplay Chart will be marked with a bold A besides the position figure. Use the code <sup>'''A'''</sup>.

- The very first album chart, Billboard Top 5 Popular Albums chart, was published by Billboard in 1945.
- Nowadays known as The Billboard 200, its name and the number of positions referrenced has evolved alot along the years. Here's a list of the ones being referred to in PrinceVault:
