Like A Mack is the fourth track on Prince’s 38th album Hitnrun Phase One. The track features the female rap duo Curly Fryz (including Danielle Curiel, who had previously been hand-picked by Prince to direct the video for Breakfast Can Wait).
While specific recording dates are not known, the Prince3EG Twitter account posted on 12 July 2015: "MAMA, WAIT TIL U HEAR CURLYFRYZ ON PRINCE'S NEW REMIX...*^&%$#@", indicating that at least Curly Fryz’s contribution to the track was recorded in early July 2015, most likely at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota. The use of the term "remix" indicates that an original version exists without Curly Fryz, but it is unknown if the song was started in early July 2015, or at some point earlier.
