Oliver’s House is the fourth track on Sheila E.’s first album The Glamorous Life. An edit of the track was included as the b-side of Noon Rendezvous, the album’s third single. Oliver’s House was written by Prince, but credited to Sheila E.. Basic tracking took place on 5 January 1984 at Sunset Sound in Hollywood, California (the day after The Bird, three days before a re-recording of 17 Days), and the song was originally possibly also considered for Apollonia 6 (Oliver from the title also makes an appearance on In A Spanish Villa) until Prince began to work with Sheila E. in February 1984, at which time he set the song aside for her. Sheila E.’s vocals were recorded in late March or April 1984 at Sunset Sound.
