Return Of The Bump Squad is the twelfth track (sixth song) on the New Power Generation's second 'solo' album Exodus. In 2001, a 1995 live version was released as part of NPG Music Club Edition # 2 (to premium members only).

While specific recording dates are now known, initial tracking took place between December, 1994 - early January, 1995, at Paisley Park Studios, Chanhassen, MN, USA (during the same set of sessions as The Good Life, Big Fun and Cherry, Cherry). Eric Leeds recorded saxophone overdubs on 16 January, 1995, also at Paisley Park Studios (on the same day as recording horn overdubs on Big Fun, Good Pussy and I'm A DJ).
