Roadhouse Garden is an unreleased track, initially recorded during Prince and the Revolution's concert on 7 June 1984 at First Avenue in Minneapolis, MN, USA, during the same show where the basic tracks for Our Destiny and All Day, All Night were also recorded. A studio version was recorded from scratch, most likely later in June or possibly in May 1984 in the Flying Cloud Drive Warehouse in Eden Prairie, MN, USA or Kiowa Trail Home Studio, Chanhassen, MN, USA.
Although tracked separately in the studio the the track seems to have purposively conjoined with Our Destiny. This is the case for the live version and the two songs (using the same four-on-the-floor bass drumbeat) were also mixed together segueing into one another in the studio rendition. Roadhouse Garden is not known to have been considered for inclusion on Prince's next album, Around The World In A Day. It was at some point planned for inclusion on the Prince and the Revolution album Roadhouse Garden album worked on in 1998-9, but that album remained unreleased.
In 2017 it was released on Purple Rain Deluxe combined with Our Destiny as Our Destiny / Roadhouse Garden
