Stroke is an unreleased song recorded on 10 April 1991 at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota, hours before Prince crashed his Thunderbird car, flipping it over in the process (Prince was not hurt).

It is not known if the track was intended for his next album, Diamonds And Pearls, or any other project.

It is possible that, if released, the track would have been credited to Prince and the New Power Generation, but as it is not known who else participated in the recording, it is included here as a ’solo' Prince track.
