Love 2 The 9’s is a Prince and the New Power Generation video released for broadcast that was first aired as part of the Act I TV-special. A single was planned for release in 1993 but canceled in favor of The Morning Papers.

Directed by Parris Patton, the performance video of Prince and The NPG was shot at Paisley Park Studios Chanhassen, Minnesota, likely in late 1992. They sing the love song to Mayte during a photo shoot with Randee St. Nicolas. Mayte is garbed in the Islamic burka at first and gradually disrobes to reveal a sexy outfit and to dance with the band and sing her part.

Some pictures taken by Randee St. Nicolas during the shooting were actually used for promotional purposes. One of them was used as the back cover for The Most Beautiful Girl In The World single in 1994.

The video was included on the 3 Chains O’ Gold home video.
