Born 2 B.R.E.E.D. is the second track on Monie Love's second album In A Word Or 2 (eighth track on the US edition), and, the month before the album's release, Born 2 B.R.E.E.D. was released as the album's second single. The track was written by Monie Love, Prince & Levi Seacer, Jr., and was recorded largely by Prince. While specific recording dates are not known, basic tracking took place in January 1992 at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota (during the same set of sessions that produced The Continental, Damn U, The Flow, 3 Chains O' Gold, Qualified, With This Tear and a revamped version of Sex).
