Days Of Wild is primarily a live performance video of Prince (as ) and The NPG included on The Beautiful Experience TV-special. The live footage was shot during the 13 February 1994 (a.m.) concert at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota where Interactive and Now were also filmed.
During the performance, is seen on stage shaving Morris Hayes’ head, leading to his later bald-headed appearance. Like Interactive and Now, the live performance is interspersed with scenes featuring Nona Gaye to make a storyline for The Beautiful Experience.
Shots of Prince riding in a golden Ford Mustang convertible, were filmed in the vicinity around the same time. More footage was shot as the 95 Tour Wallpaper video contains clips of and Mayte singing the track in a studio (much like Now) not used on The Beautiful Experience. It may indicate that an alternate full ’studio' video for Days Of Wild exists, but it has not been confirmed.
A second live version of Days Of Wild was included in the Love 4 One Another TV-special in 1995. But like The Jam and Shhh on The Beautiful Experience, this 1995 version is not considered as a "promotional video" since it is a straightforward live performance with no additional studio footage (and unlike previous 'live videos' like I Would Die 4 U, Baby I’m A Star, Take Me With U, Anotherloverholenyohead or Live 4 Love, it was not officially available as stand alone video outside of the Love 4 One Another TV-special).
