When 2 R In Love is the seventh song on Prince’s tenth album Lovesexy. In 1989, the track was included as the b-side of the single Scandalous!, the fourth single from Prince’s eleventh album Batman. In 1994, the track was included as the fourth track on Prince’s sixteenth album “The Black Album”, since this album was planned for release in late 1987, before it was canceled and Prince went on to develop Lovesexy. Basic tracking took place on 20 October 1987 at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota as the final track recorded for “The Black Album” (during the same set of sessions that produced U and Take This Beat).
